Name: Fleet Diabetics
What: Yahoo Group (Mailing List and Shared Resources)
Where: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fleetdiabetics/

Description:
The primary purpose of this list is to provide a modicum of support for members of Starfleet: The International Star Trek Fan Association who also have diabetes. Members of this list do not have to be a member of 'Fleet, nor diabetic; perhaps you have a family member or friend with diabetes or you are a medical professional with in-depth knowledge of diabetes management. You are most welcome to join us in our search for advice on how to help support each other and the people in our lives who are diabetic. If you know anyone who you think may enjoy this type of forum for discussing diabetes management, treatment, and effects, please feel free to invite them to join.

Name: STARFLEET Get Fit For Duty (SFI-GFFD)
What: Yahoo Group (Mailing List and Shared Resources)
Where: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SFI-GFFD/

Description:
Welcome to the STARFLEET Gets Fit For Duty Group! Here we offer an empathic approach to your weight loss needs. Everyone in this group is either losing weight or has been overweight and has now lost their weight problem.
We want to share our bragging rights with other folks, and we also want to hash out reasons as to why what we are doing may not be producing results. We want to share motivational stories or anecdotes. We want others to know that they are not alone in their quest to become healthier. This group is for you to become open with your weight loss.
We aren't here to throw it in your face, by any means. Without sounding clinical and psychoanalytic, we are here for support and encouragement. We feel that if other people know that yes, there are other folks who are overweight and want to change, then they may be more open to it themselves. Believe me, you are not alone.

Here is the link for the One Touch Colors Meter:

https://www.onetouchgold.com/simplestart/?utm_source=TVQ1&utm_medium=TV&utm_campaign=2008DRTV

You can do the short survey to qualify for one of the meters to be sent to you for free & you get to choose your color from 5 or 6 different colors that is listed.

It comes in handy for anyone who is diabetic or at risk for diabetes. Could also come in handy to have in the ship first aid kits in case a crewmember is diabetic & needs to keep check of their sugar levels.
